Yea in the comics that’s also true but it’s bc this romantic service top symbiote didn’t wanna dominate and use his hosts like the rest of his species, but rather truly bond and live together as one … The same dramatic symbiote that, after effectively being told by Eddie that they need to go on a break, goes away and cries so loud he sends a psychic wave strong enough literally everyone on the planet (and off it) feels it and becomes sad too
