I think my favorite difference between the Alien Covenant novel vs the movie, is the final confrontation between David and Walter.

In the movie it’s all cool action, punch – block – kick – counter punch, throwing the other into a wall (which, granted, I love. Because there’s something deeply satisfying in watching David getting his ass thrown across the room)

But the novel doesn’t contain a fight scene, instead it has Walter – in his own tasteful way – calling David a loser.

“You don’t possess the necessary majesty [to reign in hell]… [This] is no lost paradise. Certainly not with you reigning over it.”
