I know Venom’s all about being the big guns for external threats–bad guys, wounds, falls that would leave Eddie a pancake, etc–but I would love to see how he deals with internal menaces (other than him)

Common cold: -causes Eddie to produce an entire sneeze-

Venom: I will raze every single-shit-celled one of you assholes

Tapeworm fresh out of a cheap gas station sandwich: -exists-

Venom, tying it in 30 knots before melting it: Try me you legless bitch

Pollen: -sparks the first 0.0001% of an allergic reaction-

Venom, completely rewiring Eddie’s biological makeup from the neck up: THIS PLACE IS A GODDAMN MESS I CAN’T WORK LIKE THIS

Since people liked my post about tfs mirroring I have brought to you,,,,more cat things that transformers do;

  • Slow blinking is common behavior among tfs who have a visor and/or mask plate face. It isn’t a common behavior in bots with a visor but still a nose and mouth (unless said nose and mouth is covered ie First Aid) and happens in bots with a full face, though it isn’t as common and seen as more of a cutesy gesture than a necessity in emoting
  • They will make an activation noise if disrupted during recharge, but it’s less of a “mrrp” and more like, noises of engines coming online
  • Plating fluffs up to make themselves look bigger when threatened, more common among smaller/skinner tfs than ones as big as, say, megatron or roller
  • Retractable claws are a thing, though mostly among Autobots. Decepticons rather keep their claws out at all times, so they don’t retract. Except among medics where they have to retract so it doesn’t get in the way of their work. Some non medic Cons do have retractable claws it’s just pretty rare vs Bots with retractable claws.
  • Purring, obviously. But not just from being happy, they also purr when they’re stressed or when they’re mildly achey to try and bring some relief.

Shakespeare, but every instance of “alas” has been replaced with “aw shit”

purpleprosegang:

 “Aw shit, poor Yorick!”

-Hamlet, Act 5 Scene 1

“Aw shit, that love, so gentle in his view,

Should be so tyrannous and rough in proof!“

-Romeo & Juliet, Act 1 Scene 1

“O, no! Aw shit, I rather hate myself

For hateful deeds committed by myself.”

-Richard III, Act 5 Scene 3

“Aw shit, poor country, almost afraid to know itself! It cannot be called our mother, but our grave.”

Macbeth, Act 4 Scene 3

Okay does anyone remember Peter Ramsey, the director of Rise of the Guardians (2012)? He was the first black director of a major animated film.

And now he’s directing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse starring Miles Morales, a half-African American and half-Puerto Rican teenager! It must feel amazing for him to direct a movie where the protagonist looks like him.

Guy is also an unapologetic leftist on twitter who shuts down myths and lies about Antifa, and it’s putting so many pissbabies into hysterics that a leftist black man who does such things is directing such a big movie. The cries of “wahhh what is happening to the entertainment industry” lately are giving me life

rocky horror is the worst and is also transmisogynistic can we please finally get over this shit movie

ok but like the writer is transgender nonbinary and the language used in the play was the preferred language by trans people of that time can we not deny parts of our history because we’ve evolved since then thanks

So fucking much this.

PS, youth of today: you’ll be saying the same damn thing about art from this time before too long, for good or for ill. Terminology will, in fact, change. Definitions will, in fact, shift. It always does, they always do.

PPS, it is pretty much impossible to overstate how life-alteringly important this movie was to kids who didn’t conform to standard expectations of gender and sexuality, back in the day. Especially when back in the day was the mid-to-late 1980s, when the only queers you saw on TV were neutered AIDS tragedies, Bowie was playing straight, and even Elton John was married to a woman, and midnight showing of RHPS were pretty much the only place that felt like home. It was mental life raft for a lot of people.

I was one of them.
