Time travel AU! Everyone on the Lost Light, but Roddy, goes waaaaaaaay back in time to when Hot Rod was just barely out of his youngling frame and. They’re watching this kid helping mechs older than himself and being attacked by those meant to protect him? Idk, I just want the crew to come back and hug the hell outta Roddy

THIS!! IS THE CONTENT I’M LIVING FOR!!!

I want this to be angsty as possible, not gonna lie.

I want Hot Rod trying to keep up this facade of cocky bravado when around these new mechs, and the others sadly realising this is how Rodimus still acts centuries later. The only time he lets it down is when a loved one of his or someone under his care is dying and he can’t hold back his tears while he mourns their deaht.

I want Ratchet to feel uncomfortable when Hot Rod’s optics light up at an offered cube of energon – the most he’s ever been offered in his life – but all Roddy does is take a sip. He stores the rest in his subsapce so he share it with the others later.

I want Hot Rod to show unabashed admiration for Thunderclash and/or Megatron and/or Optimus since he believed in those three and what they represented to him at the time – Possibility of being great. The promise of freedom. The ability to always do the right thing. Just… him letting his guard down with someone and gushing about one of the trio, stars in his optics and hope in his voice. All the while the mech he’s with is wondering where it all went from their Rodimus.

I need!! A desperate Drift!!! Trying to do the impossible and save Hot Rod from this life, the collapsing of reality be damned. When they all realise they’ve been living out the days that’ll lead to the destruction of Nyon, Drift’s first response is to knock Hot Rod out and, I don’t know, try to smuggle him back to their time. Ratchet or Megatron needing to take him out of this when they find out, their tanks twisting uncomfortably at how angry and hopeless Drift looks when he sets Hot Rod to the ground, hugging him tight as he can while whispering, ‘I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry-’

(And of course this must be topped off with the classic scene where the gang comes back from their time traveling shenanigans. The second Rodimus is within their line of sight, I want one of the unlikely suspects – Ultra Magnus? Ratchet?? WHIRL??? – to rush towards Rodimus and pull him into a hug.)

september is coming up so here’s your yearly reminder to leave billie joe armstrong the fuck alone

Well of course. We don’t wake him up until October 1st.

His dad is dead, just don’t.

In case anyone reading my blog is unaware, this is a reference to the Green Day song titled “Wake Me Up When September Ends” a song that Billie Joe Armstrong wrote following the death of his father in September of 1982 when Billie Joe was ten years old. The title of the song references his desire to sleep through September in an effort to get some emotional distance from the death of his father.

He’s since been open about the emotional difficulty of having written the song since many people now message him on October 1st to ‘wake him up’ despite the song being a memorial to his departed father.

It’s generally seen as respectful to not try to wake him up. Let him sleep and let him remember his father in peace.

reblogging again because the end of September is coming up. leave him alone.

Reblogging as a reminder to leave Billie Joe Armstrong the fuck alone on October 1st and any day after it if your message is going to contain anything to do with “waking” him up because September will be over.
